The purpose of this mutual aid is to raise funds to support 1-2 Black Native leaders from Washington State to attend the UNFCCC COP 29 meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan (Dates November 11-22, 2024).
It is our goal to raise funds to cover the costs associated with attending such an important international gathering. Their presence at the conference is crucial because they can provide insightful perspectives on global climate justice and Indigenous rights. By attending, they can also forge valuable connections with global leaders and activists, amplifying their voices on the world stage. Additionally, their participation can help highlight the specific environmental challenges faced by Black Native and Afro-Indigenous communities in Washington State.

We are supporting an Indigenous family who is undergoing the reunification process with their four daughters after undergoing an intensive immigration process. Immigration processes are expensive & refugees often leave their homes without anything. Given that youth are involved, we are compelled to support this mutual aid.
In order to provide a better learning environment for the children of Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, we are seeking mutual aid to support the purchase of tables for their school. These tables will not only benefit the students by providing a stable surface for their studies, but also help to support the local Indigenous community by investing in their education. By providing these tables, the school will be able to provide a better learning environment for the children of Tlaxiaco and invest in the future of their community. We believe this will be an important step towards empowering the Indigenous communities we serve.
Biggest Sponsor (MUTUAL AID- SCHOOL FURNITURE): HMD LUxuries
We want to thank HMD Luxuries for being our biggest sponsor on our mutual aid to provide tables for the Indigenous serving school, Santa Catarina Ticua.
