Anti-racismwork aims to dismantle the systems of oppression, violence, and settler colonialism that impact communities of color—especially Black & Indigenous communities. It moves away from the adjective of "not being racist" which continues to place folks at a complacent-stage to taking action to dismantle the systems that continue to privilege white people over people of color.
At Piña Soul, SPC, we are committed to creating anti-racist resources to ensure this conservation does not just stay as a conversation but leads to action and changes that are crucial for communities of color, especially in the environmental discourse.
We believe that allies who are committed to anti-racist work should be willing to use the capital granted to them to support Black & Indigenous communities. Capital is not solely economical, but also includes cultural, social, political, etc. capital that is rarely granted to Black & Indigenous communities.
