Our eco-exploring environmental terminologyis a series that allows us to make environmental terminology accessible to our communities. Environmental terminology is oftentimes a mechanism utilized to leave out communities of color from environmental discussions, conversations, etc. that continue to impact them the most. Through this series, we are defining environmental terminology and providing this decolonial educational tool to ensure that this education is accessible to all—outside of academia. In this series we will also highlight amazing Black & Indigenous environmentalists, scientists, practitioners, etc. as they are oftentimes silenced or dismissed in the environmental discourse.
