Rising Together: Black & Indigenous Solidarities

Native American Heritage Month honors and celebrates Indigenous contributions, minds, and change makers. However, it is also a time to reflect on important topics that pertain to Indigenous communities and learn what necessary forms of action we must take. As a result, we want to offer a space where we learn and celebrate from Black & Indigenous solidarities and further understand how critical this kinship is for land liberation, for Indigenous liberation, and for Black liberation. In this panel we will discuss what these solidarities look like, what can be learn or unlearn, and how can we move forward within these spaces.  We will also center the interconnectedness that both Blackness and Indigeneity hold within colonial spaces.
