At Piña Soul, we work at the intersection of culture and conservation to create community-based solutions. We engage at the anti-racism and environmental justice nexus. 

We bring our expert knowledge to adapt scientific projects and policy work to uplift the voices of frontline communities. We strongly believe that in order and protect our environment, we must do it through both environmental restoration and Indigenous Science. Our consultation services and speaking engagements are created to support non-profit, for-profit, corporations, government, and strategic community partners.

We provide: 1) one-on-one guidance, 2) 
trainings, 3) online-courses and 4) tangible products through our consultation services.  

We also provide  5) workshops, 6) lectures, 7) panels, and 8) webinars through our speaking engagements series.

​These services are available remotely and in-person. Our consultation services are designed at a tiered-pricing to ensure their accessibility to non-profits, for-profits, corporations, government, & strategic partners.

Our Environmental Research Consultant
​

Jessica Hernandez (Zapotec & Ch'orti' Maya) is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Environmental & Forest Sciences at the University of Washington. She holds dual Master's Degrees in Marine & Environmental Affairs and Forestry. She has a long & extensive experience advocating for Indigenous peoples, communities, and science in the environmental and climate change discourse. She has taught courses at the Department of American Indian Studies and School of Environmental & Forest Sciences at the University of Washington. These courses include Indigenizing Conservation in a Changing Climate & Decolonizing the Environmental Discourse.
